Glasgow Airport has unveiled plans for a dedicated pick-up and drop-off facility as part of a wider scheme of works aimed at reducing congestion and improving the flow of traffic on the airport’s road network. Construction work is underway and the new facility will open to the public at the end of April.

Bristol Airport is enhancing the arrivals experience for travellers with a £2.3 million upgrade of the immigration hall. When complete in April, it will increase the number of passport control points from the current 10 to 17. This will include 10 of the latest ePassport gates.

Shannon Airport is set to get its first-ever scheduled Lufthansa service to Frankfurt on 29 April. The service will operate weekly on Saturdays from 29 April to 28 October using an A319.

Thomson Airways has expanded its presence in the UK-Iceland market by launching twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) services between East Midlands (EMA) and Reykjavik/Keflavik (KEF).

KLM has returned to London City (LCY), commencing a 333km link from Amsterdam (AMS). Currently operated six times weekly, the service will increase to 12 times weekly from 20 February, and from end-March will grow to 23 times weekly.

Jet2.com has launched seven new routes from multiple UK bases, with the shortest being the Leeds Bradford (LBA) to Grenoble (GNB) service at 1,067km, and the longest being the 2,227km route between Manchester (MAN) and Sofia (SOF).
