The EXPO venue, ExCeL, has now been converted into the Nightingale Hospital London where easyJet and Virgin Atlantic cabin crews may soon join healthcare professionals nursing in the UK’s biggest hospital.
Jeremy Rees, CEO, ExCeL London, said: “It is crucial that everyone plays their part in the national effort, working with the Government to save lives. We are proud to be able to accommodate the increasing demand for hospital beds and will work with the NHS to facilitate this request. The team at ExCeL London will ensure that we work with the Government and relevant authorities to support their efforts in seeing the British people and the UK through this unprecedented crisis.”
Like all businesses which are the backbone of British-Irish prosperity, the EXPO is working hard towards better times when normal aviation business resumes, and ExCeL becomes the UK’s premier business meeting point once again. In the words of the now-recovered Prince Charles: “None of us can say when this will end; but end it will. Until it does, let us try and live with hope, and faith in ourselves and each other, and look forward to better times to come.”
