Ex-Premiership and “Homes-Under-the Hammer” star will tour EXPO and be interviewed live on stage
This year’s celebrity signing for the British-Irish Airports EXPO tour and on-stage interview is the ex-Premier League striker and “Homes-Under-the Hammer” star Dion Dublin. In a playing career spanning 1988-2008 Dublin appeared for Manchester United, Coventry City, Millwall, Aston Villa, Leicester City, and led Celtic to the Scottish Premier League title in 2006. He received the Golden Boot in the 1997/98 season, sharing the top spot with Michael Owen.
In 2015 Dublin joined the presenting line-up of “Homes Under the Hammer” which currently captures an audience of 1.5 million viewers per episode, making it the “most watched daytime TV show” (mainly airport operations staff working nights). He is also a frequent football pundit on SKY, BBC Radio 5 Live etc.
Following EXPO’s Barnes, Kamara, Shilton…
Dublin’s appearance maintains the British-Irish Airports EXPO’s strong tradition of celebrity guests who strive to make a relevant and topical contributions. In 2016 John Barnes used the EXPO stage to give a rundown on the Home Nations’ chances in the French-hosted EUROS; in 2017 – Chris “Kammy” Kamara accurately predicted the outcome of the UK General Election; while, last year, former England goalkeeping legend, Peter Shilton, gave an expert forecast of the Russia-hosted World Cup (sadly he was wrong – football did not come home from Moscow).
Dublin will tour the EXPO on the afternoon of Wednesday 12 June, walking the aisles, posing for photos, and chatting with exhibitors and visitors. At 15.30 he will appear on the main Concorde Stage for a LIVE interview when he will also take questions on the beautiful game and offer property advice to all delegates.
