20 members of British Aviation Group’s Northern Cluster Group, including the British-Irish Airports EXPO, joined the MAN-TP site visit of the Terminal 2 Pier 1, which is being readied for operational opening next summer.
5 December 2018; Laing O’Rourke Main Office, Manchester Airport: The 11th Meeting of British Aviation Group’s Northern Cluster was given a special briefing on the £1 billion Manchester Airport Transformation Programme (MAN-TP) which included a special site visit to the entirely new Pier 1 which goes into operation in summer 2019.
MAN-TP, the largest private investment in the North-West region, is part of the MAG’s vision for Manchester Airport to become a top 10 European airport and the 2nd primary international gateway to the UK “sitting at the heart of a super-connected Northern transport network.” The work will see Terminal 2 more than double in size to become the airport’s main centre of gravity focused on the introduction of the latest technology and digital products delivering the capability to handle 45 million travellers, each with a smooth and seamless passenger experience.
