1 November 2018: Suppliers chasing £600 million in Stansted Airport Transformation deals attended the Manchester Airport Group airport’s annual buyer-meets-supplier fest. The British-Irish Airports EXPO also exhibited to meet with the supplier community along with closely-held partner British Aviation Group. Next June’s Heathrow-hosted EXPO now has over 40 exhibitors including the most recent signings of the Civil Aviation Authority, and thyssenkrupp Elevator.
Paul Willis, Programme Delivery Director, Stansted Transformation presented the airport’s £600 million investment project to 300 suppliers at the 2018 “Meet the Buyers” event. Willis was also a keynote presenter at last June’s British-Irish Airports EXPO.

Interest by major stakeholders, and SMEs alike, centred on the £600m London Stansted Airport Transformation Programme, framed by the construction of the £130 million new Arrivals Terminal. When complete, the five-year transformation project, which also includes a thorough reconfiguration of the existing terminal into a departures-only complex, and a range of other new facilitation and airfield infrastructure investments, will allow the airport to serve 43 million passengers (currently 27 million).
