Thomson Airways has expanded its presence in the UK-Iceland market by launching twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) services between East Midlands (EMA) and Reykjavik/Keflavik (KEF). Started on 25 January, the 737-800-operated route will be flown until early March. The 1,736-kilometre sector will face no direct competition. It becomes the leisure carrier’s third route to the Icelandic capital, joining its existing London Gatwick and Manchester operations, also both flown twice-weekly.
